Arkay Workshop

Arkay Workshop is the eclectic culmination of one person's passions in life: art & craft, design, fashion, humanitarian ideals, green practices and progress.  Everyone chooses their "battles" in life. Being conscious of the way we live is much easier than many people might think. At Arkay Workshop we choose positive products, but they can't all be defined under one umbrella description. Some products are organic, some are recycled or biodegradable, some are produced with humanitarian business practices that support and sustain (rather than exploit) workers and craftspeople. We create our own designs in the workshop and also feature many local (Bay Area) artists and craftspeople.  We want to promote healthy and happy living for all people who are touched by our practices.

Rachel Kinney, Founder

Rachel has a BFA in metalsmithing from Syracuse University and worked in various realms of jewelry-making, product design and development, and... retail. She moved to the San Francisco Bay area in 2004 and opened Arkay Workshop in September, 2008.
